I've been talking about how I want to blog about food, so here is entry 1. There is no promise to keep this up, but it's always good to start projects that you have no intention of finishing.

My big problem with this idea is that I am a recipe follower to the T. Which means, blogging about food I make is just sharing with you recipes that I followed. I don't see it as a skill, just something I find super fun and rewarding. So, any food things I share in the future are just going to be me telling you recipes I googled that I liked :)

If I'm going to do this I need a better camera or a better eye for photography
I love trying new food combinations (which is why I love my juicer), so with the new (to me) craze of chia seeds I'm intrigued. I love breakfast and I love oatmeal, so chia pudding seemed right up my alley. Chia seeds are relatively expensive, so I've been holding off. But then I found a recipe for Chai Chia Pudding and I was sold. Plus, chia seeds are on sale at the local Hemköp so I stocked up. The texture was odd at first, but now I love it. I topped it with toasted coconut and raspberries. Yum.

I can also say that Annika introduced me to my other new love, which is peppermint and licorice tea. I still don't like licorice candy, but I love the sweetness of licorice tea. And it pairs perfectly with peppermint in this tea.
